Turning off the A884 in Lochaline, onto the B849 Drimnin road, Willow Brae is the first Detatched House on the left (after school playing fields and Kirk Brae bungalow estate).   The entrance and car parking is at the top of the drive (upper entrance), ie facing the road.

FROM THE SOUTH:

Head north on A82 in the direction of Fort William.

The Quick Way …..  For ease, take the Corran Ferry some 8 miles south of Fort William, to Ardgour (Corran Ferry Timetable & Fares). Turn left off the ferry onto the A861, go 12 miles towards Strontian, and turn left at Carnoch Bridge onto the A884 to Lochaline.

The Long way ….  Instead of taking the Corran ferry, drive through Fort William and take the Mallaig road A830 and turn left onto the A861, going around Loch Eil, south along the west coast of Loch Linnhe through Ardgour towards Strontian, turning left onto the A884 at Carnoch Bridge.

The Longest way ….  Some 4 or 5 miles south of Ardgour, many Sat-Nav’s direct vehicles to turn first left via Kingairloch – a very pretty run in good weather, but a much slower road than going a further 7 miles to the A884.

Upon entering the 30 mph zone at Lochaline, turn first right onto the B849 (signposted to Drimnin and Kirk Brae).

You will pass a children’s playground on the left, then a small estate of dormer bungalows at Kirk Brae.

Willow Brae is the first detached property on the left, the entrance drive is 30 metres beyond the last of the Kirk Brae bungalows (just before the speed de-restriction sign). There is ample parking at the top of the drive.

Driving on Single Track Roads:

The 20 miles of A884 from Strontian/Carnoch is a single track road with passing places, where it is a requirement to pull into “Passing Places”, to allow faster traffic coming behind you to overtake you.  If you are unused to driving on single-track roads in Scotland, the following link will be useful to you:
