Located in Lochaline, a quiet and friendly village on Scotland’s west coast peninsula of Morvern, 40 miles to the south west of Fort William, in the Scottish Highlands region, Willow Brae is a private family home which offers guests comfortable overnight and short-stay Serviced Accommodation or Bed and Breakfast accommodation, with half- or full-board where required in particular special circumstances, (click the links above for details) and is well situated for the many outdoor pastimes available in the area.

Designed to high standards with comfort, convenience and accessibility in mind, this house is not just a home, but a place of welcome, offering traditional Highland hospitality to those needing accommodation, coupled with the opportunity to maintain Kosher, Halal or Vegetarian eating where desired (click on “Sample Menu” above).

The views from within are breathtaking, looking out on the Sound of Mull, and each room has its own bathroom or shower room en-suite, TV, free WiFi, and breakfast table.

See more  interior photographs and details by clicking the option “Accommodation” on the menu bar at the top of the home page.

A CalMac Ferry operates between Lochaline village and Fishnish, on the Isle of Mull, several times a day – an easy route for visiting Iona or Tobermory, and allowing circular tours via Oban or Kilchoan.

Almost literally a life-saver! After an exhausting journey from the far north of Scotland, we missed the last ferry to Mull. A fortunate recommendation from a local sent us to Linda’s door, and she took us and our dog in. She could not have been more welcoming, though we must have presented a sorry sight!
She very kindly provided a table and chairs, and even cutlery, for us to eat our smuggled in supper!
The accommodation is lovely. Although not quite completed, it is obviously going to be of excellent quality, well – designed and very comfortable. It’s the extra touches that make the difference, the slippers and dressing gowns, and the binoculars at breakfast, to watch the ferry on its way to Mull. (!). The breakfast is excellent too, with the usual choices served at a table overlooking the Sound of Mull. On a glorious day it must be breathtaking. I must mention, in case like me you hadn’t noticed, that it’s a Kosher household, so no pork sausages. Who cares!
So —- can’t recommend Willow Brae highly enough. Friendly, comfortable, and very good value for money. If ever we pass that way again we shall be staying here. And in the meantime I hope you will!

My friend and I thought we were going to have to sleep in our car when Linda came to our rescue. We missed the last ferry to Mull and were looking to stay nearest to the lochaline ferry and Willow Brae was perfect. Our host Linda was so fun and enjoyable to be with it was a shame we had to leave. The king sized bed and waterfall shower were a sight for sore eyes after such a long day in the car. We had a very comfortable rest and breakfast was perfection the next morning with a beautiful view. Thank you again soo much Linda for being an angel and one of the highlights of our trip.

we stayed here recently and it was lovely.linda made us very welcome and we felt very much at home. everything was clean and tidy and nothing was too much trouble. we had wonderful views across to mull from both our room and the breakfast table, and our breakfast was great.
thank you linda for putting us up at such short notice, will call in again when we are up your way.

A friend and I stayed at beautiful Willow-Brae at the end of September, en route to Mull
Linda couldn’t have been more helpful, both on the phone with all our various inquiries and then when we were with her. Nothing was too much trouble, including accommodating our rather big dog!
Breakfast was amazing, cooked to order and more than enough of it.
This B & B is amazing; try it!
